I had awesome plans to go to bed with hubby and do the snuggly thing and just forget about my current fic for a while. And then the need to write propelled me out of bed (hubby was already asleep, so it's not like I interrupted anything *coughs*). So here I sit.

Which means, of course, that it's time again for another round of fic bitching! *crowd goes wild*

Character B... oh, Character B. Why must you intimidate me so? Also, what's with the personality disorder you seem to have? Don't you know I want to make you happy in the pants? Cuz I do. I want to make you so happy in the pants that you come back for more (yes, pun is totally intended).

So why, then, aren't you cooperating?

Character A? I'm not sure exactly where you're going with this, but it's unlike you to be reticent. So maybe just cut it out and jump Character B's bones? I realize you're trying to be a better person or whatever, but come ON, man. This fic is due in just over a week and we are at a stand still.

A whopping 369 words so far today. Which is kinda cool in the fact that any number with 69 in it is obviously shooting for porn, but less cool in the "I still have a lot to write" way.

I'm just tired of refreshing my flist to see that no one's updated.

How am I supposed to procrastinate if y'all aren't posting?!

IDEFK what my word count is at the moment because I spent last night and part of tonight dealing with drama and its fallout, which meant most of my time went to writing emails, rather than writing ACTUAL RP, and then the rest of tonight night was sucked up by my freaking computer going all buggy at me trying to upgrade the RAM. I thought the first time it did this it was a fluke, since RAM can't BE virusy, but damn if it didn't screw up my computer again. It's been properly scanned and cleaned, so all should hopefully be well again.

I hope Wednesday will be a better day for tags, since I'm going to do some now to unwind.

I have written 1585 words today on my happy_trekmas fic, and basically wrote straight to the end of the "outline" I managed to come up with yesterday.

Which means I'm fresh out of ideas. Crap.

However, I do know how the porn is going to go (fics must be R/NC-17, so I'm not giving away too much by saying there's gonna be porn, lol), so if worse comes to worse I'll write that and just wait for further inspiration on the rest.

Inspiration, however, usually comes in the form of having my hands in water (can't write if they're in water), so I'm going to go clean my kitchen and hope for the best.

Yay. Housework. Yaaaaaaaay.

First of all, happy-making thing of the day (so far): There is a guy in my building who I often see walking his two dogs that look just like him. Heh. They're all sort of burly and stuff but the dogs look really nice. I like seeing them because they seem like a happy family. Lately, I've only seen him with one of the dogs, though, which made me assume... bad things about the other. :( But! This morning I saw both of them again! It just made me super happy that the second dog was okay and back and they were all strutting down the street together again. All is right with the universe. :)

Second of all, recs! So, back in the summer, my co-mod, dracofiend, had this cool idea of doing a Remix mini-fest at our infidelity comm, hp_unfaithful. So we did. :) Anyone who signed up had to offer two of their fics for remixing, and then the other participants could go through that post and just pick anything from the links that they wanted to remix. Not everyone's stories got remixed under this format, alas, but it was a nice, low-stress way to do it.

At any rate, we're all done now, and the masterlist is up, if you're interested in perusing. The remixes are all short and easy to digest over a coffee break. :) I posted my own remix last week, and then when I checked back at the comm over the weekend, I saw that both my proposed stories had been remixed by others! *dancey* And they are both super cool:

While Sirius is off on an errand for the groom, Remus does his best to help the groom out in other ways.

*cackles with glee* This is a remix of my old Sirius/Lily fic, Nice Day for a White Wedding, which features blatant wedding day infidelity. gryffindor_j turned it around to show us just what the groom and his other groomsman might have been getting up to while the best man was having a turn with the bride. *glee* Sexy and funny and a wonderful complement to the original.

*clutches heart* This is a remix of my post-DH, angst-trainwreck of a Remus/Bill fic, Fifty Words Unspoken. dracofiend did amazing things not only with Remus's POV and the emotions of all the characters, but also with the weird structure I had in the original. I love how she's chosen six of the title words from each segment and woven them into a new form. Really beautiful and haunting.

Okay, screw it. I'm just going to ask for the information I need and hope like hell that someone out there, in the recesses of internet deep space, knows the answers. None of this is important to my plot, but you know that as soon as I put the crews quarters on deck 6, I'll get zapped by a ST canon nazi.

Where are the crew's quarters? How are they accessed?

In ST:TNG, Picard has a "ready room". Does Kirk on the NCC-1701 have anything similar to this? Or just some place that he and his senior officers can go to make plans/take classified transmissions from Starfleet? I mean, as awesome as it would be for him to be constantly calling "conferences" in his quarters, I just don't think that's logical from a professional standpoint.

Any help would be awesome.

Fic the First is done!

Tomorrow I begin plugging away at Fic the Second. *happy dance of joy*

I am on track to finish all my fics early(ish) which will be absolutely awesome! I don't normally miss deadlines, but it's always nice to know that I won't be turning in rushed fics. I don't have to rush! Whee!

Also, the best part about the rest of the fics I have to write? My outlines for them make it totally reasonable to bring them all in under 5k each. How awesome is that?!

I have two goals here - the 30,000 words goal that everyone doing rpwrimo is aiming for and my own personal goal of 50,000 words because I wanted a NaNo comparable word goal, even if this is the equivalent of two stories because it's two different game worlds (which doesn't count PSL or near-PSL).
