Summary: Harry decides he'd like to go camping for his birthday, much to Draco's dismay.
A/N: Thanks to [info]tinkerpixy! ♥

A very late birthday fic for the lovely [info]saoni.

Draco was perfectly unimpressed.

When Potter had suggested “camping” for his birthday, Draco had envisioned a tent with an elaborate marble interior. It would be roughing it, he knew. He wasn’t sure why Potter kept reminding him so incredulously.

And here they were.

The tent wasn’t even a decent-sized apartment. Draco was horrified, and he glowered at (a rather sweaty) Harry accusingly for the good part of an hour. Harry, to Draco’s horror, ignored this, and seemed to be much too preoccupied with himself, collapsing on the floor of the tent and getting his sweat everywhere. Draco opened his mouth to object again, but then Harry peeled off his shirt. Draco closed his mouth, wisely.

Still, he didn’t understand what was so tiring about sticking a few pegs in the ground and throwing that piece of rubbish up. He promptly informed Harry of this.

Harry threw an arm over his face and mumbled something annoyingly indecipherable, in typical Potter fashion. Draco glared, placing his hands firmly on his hips as he waited for an apology. Birthday or no, this was entirely unacceptable.

But as long as Potter was going to keep those hideously out-of-fashion glasses covered, Draco had little choice but to look elsewhere, and it was hardly his fault that Potter’s abdomen was currently so fascinating. Harry had probably gotten that sweaty on purpose.

Draco was starting to feel a bit sticky with sweat as well, which was only adding to his resentment of the situation.

“Potter.”

With what looked like a sigh, Harry moved his arm from his face and sat up, blinking tiredly at Draco.

“Tent’s up.”

He looked ready to lie down again at this, and Draco scowled, stepping into the tent and attempting to tug Harry to his feet. Unfortunately, the pathetic tent creation Harry had managed wasn’t designed quite like the ones Draco was used to. It was because of this that he simultaneously ran headfirst into the ‘ceiling’ and tripped over a peg, falling ungracefully on the rather hard ground. There seemed to be a rock digging into his stomach, and he silently vowed to beat Potter with it shortly.

What sounded distinctly like Harry’s laughter reached him a moment later, and Draco wasted no time in rolling over to tackle the other boy, pinning him to the canvas floor.

“Something funny, Potter?”

Harry managed to close his mouth but his eyes continued to laugh at Draco. Without much thought, Draco leaned forward and bit him squarely on his obnoxious bottom lip.

Somehow this led to a rather intense bout of kissing, something Draco still hadn’t quite worked out, several minutes later.

Finally, he pulled away, tasting blood on his own lips and wondering if it was his or Potter’s as he looked down at the sweaty boy beneath him.

“Nice tent, Potter.”

Harry smiled, and Draco decided he could let the marble go, just this once.
